WHAT CAUSED USA RECESSION?

            What caused USA recession? Whether the house or the house caused the recession? The true answer is that globalization causes American industries or companies outsource and out produce. During last decade, they have already moved a lot of factories to Asia, and caused a lot of people to lost job. It was the fundamental reason that caused the crisis. The two articles, “America's fall into Post-Industrialism” was written by Thomas, who was a Publisher and Founder of Concerned Citizens and “What’s wrong with America’s economy” was written by Bubble Bliss who was a senior member in Ohio in United States. Those two articles truly pointed the real problems that USA had, and what caused the recession in USA. Comparing with the two articles, I think “America's fall into Post-Industrialism” is better than another one because it is more logical; and more credible, more rhetoric.

Logical is very important for argumentive essay. Both those two articles have well logical. At the beginning of their articles, both these two authors looked back at American history. They feel very proud about American history which had created so many No.1 positions in the world. And then, they looked at the present situation, analyzed the reasons caused American economic problems. At the last, they expressed their concern about the country and presented their suggestion and solution to the problems. Comparing those two articles,” America's fall into Post-Industrialism” is more logical because it has the clear idea with a concise and coherent structure of presentation. It makes audience feel very easy to get the author main idea and also it expressed very strong and effectively. Whereas, the article, “What’s wrong with America’s economy” is weaker comparing with another.  The “America's fall into Post-Industrialism” makes the readers easy to know what caused the recession in USA.

           In addition to that, the “America's fall into Post-Industrialism” used more creditable facts or statistics to support its points than the article, “What’s wrong with America’s economy”.     First of all, the writer used a surprising fact that is the biggest export for USA is waste paper, a trash. In this article, the author asked a question: “Do you know what our biggest export is today? Waste paper, yes, trash is the number one thing that we ship out to the rest of the world” (Heffner 1). This is a typical fact which represents today America situation. It is completely different from people’s impression in America, even people in the world. People think that USA is the No. 1 manufacture country, and America should export some industries’ products, Hi-Tech focus products, such as automobiles, computers, and latest model cell phone as the country’s biggest export. This fact is of shocking function, and the writer wanted to wake people up, and to change this situation. Secondly, the writer used 19 facts which were of strong persuasive roles. For example, the writer pointed out that “The United States has lost approximately 42,400 factories since 2001. About 75 percent of those factories employed over 500 people when they were still in operation”(Heffner 1). This fact should cause American Union and government to pay attentions. Right now, it is globalization time, it is information time. Global companies belong to global rather than one country. If one country lost the comparative advantages for global companies to develop their business, they would move to some countries else. Therefore, American should wake up to improve their environments, such as to decrease tax, to decrease salary and so on, for global companies to develop their business. So, the writer’s facts supported their arguments very strongly. The article, “What’s wrong with America’s economy” also use facts to support its idea. For example,” the writer stated that “High on that list is sorting out America’s public finances. The budget deficit is huge and public debt, at over 90% of GDP when measured in an internationally comparable manner, is high and rising fast. Apart from Japan, America is the only big rich economy that does not have a plan for getting its public finances under control” (Bliss 11).  The writers used fact to state that American government never took any serious measures to control the financial. It is the reason why USA had the financial crises. But comparing another article, it looks like a little weak. So, the “America's fall into Post-Industrialism” is a better article to explain “What caused USA recession?

       Finally, the writer used more rhetoric in the article, America's fall into Post-Industrialism”, Such as, repetition, exaggerate, comparison and contrast, parallel structure. That made the article more emphasis, clarity, amplification, and emotional effect.  In the beginning of article, the writer introduced that American was the leader of manufacture in the word, and American invented and produced everything, from automobiles to airplanes. But right now, the biggest export for USA is waste paper (Heffner 1). Here, the writer used comparison and contrast to explain his idea. It was of very strong shock and influences the readers. At the beginning of the article, the author also used exaggerates to describe the speed of squander the great wealth that their forefathers had left them.  He written that “But the pace at which America is accomplishing this is absolutely amazing” (Heffner 1). At the last, the writer used the parallel structure to list 19 facts. Those parallel structures are very typical, and are enough to wake up American people. In another article, the writer just used a rhetorical question in his article, “What’s wrong with America's economy? So, the article America’s falls into Post-Industrialism” is of more influence than another.

                In conclusion, both those two article used typical fact s to explain America is in economic recession. They logically analyzed the reasons why American created economic recession.  The reason was that globalization caused global companies out source and out produce. Furthermore, it caused a lot of people lost jobs, and created more cities like “Detroit” city. This was American economic recession reason.  Comparing those two articles, the article “America's fall into Post-Industrialism” is better than another one because it is more logical; and more credible, more rhetoric.
